Milo Meets His 1/2 Sister

We met Quixote and her humans Priscilla and Daniel at the Redondo Beach Dog Park.

She is just shy of 2 months older than Milo and shares the same father.

They hit it off right away!  It was so cute watching them play together.

He has really come out of his shell around other dogs over the last week or two.

Now only if he could get the other dish a little closer, then he would be able to have all 4 paws in water!

I guess we will have to bring him to the park more often now that he is making so many friends.

Big Bear Trip

We had another day off together and were ready for another adventure with Milo.  It was raining so the beach and dog parks were out of the question.  While thinking what to do we saw the snow report for local mountains on the news...road trip!

After a quick 2 1/2 hour drive we got high enough up the mountain that it wasn't raining and found a place to pull off the side of the road for Milo to play.

He loved pouncing in the snow!

Unfortunately we had to keep his leash on since the highway was nearby.

Beach one day and snow the next.  Spoiled?

I can count the number of times I have seen snow in my life on one hand and always wanted to see more...just didn't know I would need a dog to do so.  :)

Huntington Dog Beach

Huey and I had a couple days off together so we decided to take Milo back to Dog Beach.  Our 1st visit there Milo was a little overwhelmed and didn't get a chance to really enjoy it...this time he did!

Happy dog!

I think he was smiling just about the whole time we were there.

Chasing bubbles.

He even began to feel a lot more comfortable around bigger dogs.

Can we come back tomorrow?

In the last 2 weeks I've spent more time on the beach with Milo than I did in the 2 years I lived here.

Milo's 1st Christmas

My camera stopped working a little over a week ago and I have had to resort to using my cell phone camera for everything.  Since there is a delay it isn't good at action or Milo photos.  Luckily a special someone got me a new camera for Christmas!  Thank you Huey!  :)

Our morning was so rushed I didn't get any photos of Milo opening his gifts, but got a clip of him enjoying them while testing out the video on my new camera.

Then it was a 2 hour drive to my mom's house and Milo's first road trip since his drive home.  He did great and loved exploring the new yard and house.

My brother's dog Farah is sweet and playful, but was a little too excited for Milo who screamed for us to pick him up after being approached.

Family portrait.

My mom caught my corgi obsession and ebay hunted for my gifts.

Found a perfect spot for the "spoiled rotten corgi" sign above Milo's over filled toy box.

Christmas Eve

We won't be home most of the day tomorrow, so we let Milo finish opening his secret santa gift today.

He was so happy to get his box back and went straight to work.

He loves his elephant, but now the Kong Wubba might be his new favorite.  He has been proudly carrying it around since he opened it.  There was even a cute corgi keychain for me.  :)

Our Secret Santa was Laurie and Sadie from www.sweetsadiethecorgi.blogspot.com!

Thank you for all the goodies!

Naughty or Nice?

I came home from Christmas shopping to shredded cardboard and gift wrap all over the floor.  Apparently somebody knew the box was for him and couldn't wait.

These holiday cookies made the box irresistible!

Well, I guess he gets to keep a few of his present early.  The rest of the box he hadn't got to will wait.  :)

I Miss Milo!

This weekend I flew to Seattle to film a skateboard contest.  A bunch of my friends were in town and I had a really good time...but I missed my dog!  This was the first time we have been apart for more than 9 hours.

Luckily my friends dog Emo kept me company.

When I got home Milo's Secret Santa gift was waiting!  So excited!
